Photographer, filmmaker and human rights activist, Hamdan Ballal, has been released by the Israel Defense Forces after being taken in and detained due to suspicions of "rock hurling" at security forces (information derived from an article by Sebastian Usher, The BBC). According to five American Jewish activists from the Center for Jewish Nonviolence Group, Hamdan Ballal was attacked and injured by Israeli settlers in the West Bank (quoted from The BBC).
